This project concerns the pedagogical practice of language stimulation regarding children in preschool (3-6 yo), specifically those, who have started to learn a second language after having established use of their mother tongue. The project works from the assumption that everyday and specifically planned activities in preschool constitute an arena in which children can develop socially, including linguistically. A central question for this project is to explore whether and how preplanned activities resp. unplanned activities provide for participation that supports social and linguistic development.
